A client is anyone you bill or do work for. Sebenza needs only a name to create one; add an email and you can send them invoices straight away.
!
Email is optional on the form, but without one Sebenza can't send an invoice to this client. Add it now and you won't hit a missing Send button later.

Good to know
- Adding a client while you invoice — on a Quick Invoice or Quick Estimate, type a new name and Sebenza creates the client for you. If the name already exists it warns you; choose
Use this clientto keep one record. - The Add Client form doesn't check for duplicates — search the list before adding someone who may already be there.
- Bringing a list across?
Import CSV→Download Sample CSV, fill it in, upload it. The import needs an email and phone number per client. - A client you no longer work with — open
Edit Clientand setStatustoInactive. Their invoices and history stay. - Shortcut — press
Nanywhere in the app to add a client.
If something's off
- "Validation Error" — a first and last name are required, plus a company name for a business.
- "Access Denied" on the Clients page — your login doesn't have client access yet. Ask the account owner to grant it under
Settings→Users.
