Sebenza makes the invoice, emails it, and gives your client a Pay Now button. When they pay, the invoice marks itself paid. Here's the whole loop, tested on yourself first.
The client needs an email address on file — that's where the invoice and its Pay Now link go. Without one, Sebenza can't send.

Open Invoices
In the menu,

Start a quick invoice

QUICK EST/INV, thenQuick Invoice. - 3
Pick or create the client
Start typing a name. An existing client comes up — tap
Use this client. A new name creates the client for you. For this test, use your own name and your own email. - 4
Add what you're charging for
One line is enough: a description, a quantity, a price. The total updates as you type.

Create it
Tap
Create Invoice. It appears in your list with a number like INV-2026-0001. - 6
Send it
Open the invoice and tap
Send. It goes to the client's email and the status changes toSent.✓ Check your inbox: the invoice is there, with a Pay Now button. - 7
Pay it, if you want the full loop
Tap
Pay Nowin the email and pay by card. Within a few minutes the invoice flips toPaidby itself. (Where that money goes: see Get paid into your bank.)
A few things people ask
- Quote first, invoice later? Use
Quick Estimateinstead. Once the client accepts, it converts to an invoice — no retyping. - Same invoice every month?
Quick Recurring— set the schedule once and Sebenza sends it on time. - The client paid by EFT or cash — open the invoice and record the payment against it manually; it marks itself paid when the amount covers the total.
- Wrong client picked? Sebenza warns you when a name already exists, so you don't end up with two "Vusi Ndaba"s. Choose

If something's off
- No
Sendbutton — the client has no email. Add one on the client, then open the invoice again. - Client says they got nothing — ask them to check spam, then resend from the invoice.
